Idea to Impact
Start with an idea, an outline, or a draft you never finished. Finish with a published book, more than 20 hours of one-to-one coaching, and a plan for what the book does for your business.
Done with you. You're never on your own, and the book stays yours.
We plan for six months. You get ten. The extra time is there in case work gets busy — and we guarantee your book is published inside it.
Book your publishing strategy callThere are three ways to publish a book. Here's what each one asks of you.
| What | Impact Group Publishing | A traditional publisher | Doing it yourself |
|---|---|---|---|
| How long it takes | Six months of writing. Published within ten, guaranteed. | Around two years, and only if they accept you. | As long as it takes. Most people never finish. |
| Do you need to be accepted | No. We have a call and decide together whether it's a fit. | Yes. Most people who submit are turned down. | No. |
| Who owns the book | You own it, completely. | The publisher holds the rights, often for years. | You own it. |
| What you earn per copy | You keep 100% of what your book earns. | You keep 5–15%. The publisher keeps the rest. | You keep what's left after Amazon takes its cut. |
| Help with the writing itself | Two 1:1 strategy calls a month with Blake, plus written feedback on every chapter as you go. | A deadline, and an editor once you've finished. | None. You work it out on your own. |
| Where you write it | AuthorImpact, the writing app we built for this. | Wherever you like. Usually a blank Word document. | Wherever you like. Usually a blank Word document. |
| Editing, cover, layout, shops | We handle all of it, and it's included in the price. | They handle all of it, and they decide how it looks. | You find, hire and manage every person yourself. |
| Who you actually deal with | Blake on strategy, and a team that supports your writing the whole way through. | Whoever has been assigned to you that quarter. | Nobody. |
| What happens after it's out | We build you a monetisation and authority strategy based on your goals. | They move on to their next book. What yours does next is up to you. | Nothing happens unless you organise it yourself. |
Three kinds of people end up here. Different reasons, same problem: what you know is worth more than what you can prove.
You've built something that works. You are not trying to prove you know your subject — anyone who has met you already knows. The problem is everyone who hasn't.
You have a method. Right now it lives in your head and in your sessions, and you explain it from scratch every time. A book is where you finally write it down properly.
You are genuinely one of the better people in your field and almost nobody outside it knows. Not because the work isn't good. Because nobody has written it down.
Three phases. Start with an idea, an outline, or a draft you never finished — phase one works either way. Most people are done writing inside six months.
Months 1–2
Months 3–5
Months 6–10
At the end, you're a published author in your industry.
Regular 1:1 strategy calls with Blake, plus a team behind him for everything between them. That's the difference between writing a book and finishing one.
1:1
with Blake
One to one with Blake. You work on what the book says, read back what you've written, plan how it makes you money, and keep moving. You can also use them to talk your chapters out loud and have them typed up for you.
24hr
feedback
Send a question or a chapter and get a reply within 24 hours on weekdays. You are never stuck for a fortnight waiting for the next session.
Blake
+ the team
Your strategy calls are with Blake — positioning, manuscript reviews, the launch, what the book should do for your business. The team handles your day-to-day writing support and the production. You always know who you are speaking to and why.
Most publishers hand you a template and a shared folder. We built you an app instead, and it's included.
AuthorImpact is our own writing software. Every Idea to Impact author writes their book in it. We built it because the hard part of writing a book isn't the words — it's knowing what to write next, and whether what you wrote is any good.

Before your first call you write a short statement of what the book is and who it's for. Then the app turns it into a chapter-by-chapter outline. Each chapter gets a short brief: what goes in it, and what the reader gets out of it.
You open the app and it takes you to the chapter you're up to, with the brief you wrote for it. It saves as you type, tracks your word count, and keeps working if your internet drops.
Ask Blake is built into the app for the times you're stuck between calls. It knows what page you're on and what your book is about, so you get an answer about your book — not a general answer about books.
Finish a chapter, send it, get written feedback on it. You hear what's working while you're still writing, not months later when it's too late to change anything.
Writing streaks, chapter milestones, and a bar that fills up as you go. Small things, but they're the difference between four chapters by month three and none.
When the draft is done, one click gives you a proper Word document with a contents page, ready for the editor. No copying and pasting. No week spent fixing the formatting.
We do the work. You own the book.

“Vogue Women's Health want to do an article on me — and my book is with the editor right now. It wasn't that long ago I made the decision to write the book. Now everything is happening at once.”

“After all the planning, the writing part came pretty easily. I hadn't planned to start until January — but after building the outline, I just kept going.”

“I’ve moved into a couple of paid board roles, and having the book certainly helped. I’m doing speaking gigs, a lot more facilitation work, and I’ve just been brought on as an expert partner. Being a published author gives me that credibility and a real point of difference.”

You book your publishing strategy call. We talk through your book idea, what you want it to do for you, and whether we are the right people to help you write it. You will leave the call clearer about the book either way.
If we are a fit, we onboard you into AuthorImpact and walk you through it step by step. You always know what happens next and what you need to do.
You write your book positioning statement — what you stand for, who the book is for, and what you want it to do for you. Everything that follows points back at it, which is why the book stays about one thing.
Thirty minutes on your idea, who it's for, and whether it's worth writing. No pitch and no obligation. If there's nothing there, we'll tell you on the call.
